About the Jewelry

June Moon Jewelry is a collection of metal etched copper paired with semi precious stones and leather. The images used on the jewelry are aspects of the Pacific Northwest that are near and dear to the artist, Sara June. The images are formed by a process called "Metal Etching". She puts the images on the copper with permanent ink before it is submerged into ferric chloride etchant. After removing from the etchant, the pieces are cleaned, polished, lacquered and dried. Then they are assembled into finished pieces.

About the Artist

Sara June makes her jewelry in Vaughn, WA where she lives with her two boys. They enjoy getting out into nature and spend lots of time beach combing, camping, hiking and finding adventure wherever they can. Sara shares her love of Washington state's mountains, trees and beaches by putting them on her jewelry. She hopes that visitors to Washington will take her jewelry home to remember their vacation here. For those that reside here, her desire is that they will wear her jewelry as she does, with pride for the beautiful state of Washington!
